Facts &
Questions
When I send a new message, I see little boxes
around my e-business card tabs - will the recipient see
these?
ANSWER: Not at all. Only the sender
can see these boxes which represent where active links
are located on the e-business card.
I don't want my e-business
card to show when I reply to an email, how do I turn off
this feature? ANSWER: In your email program, on the menu bar choose
'Tools' and then click 'Options' from the dropdown.
Click the tab that says 'Signatures' and make sure you
have the option checked that states 'Don't use when
replying or forwarding'.
Will I have to use my Business Card for
every message I send or reply to?
ANSWER: No. It will always
pop up, but if you don't want to use it you can just click on
it and press the DELETE key. This will remove it from this
particular message. Or, you can temporarily turn it off in your
setup and then turn it back on again later.
Will the use of your business cards
cause my messages to be blocked by SPAM
filters? ANSWER: No - our straightforward
HTML programming uses no scripting technologies allowing
messages to pass anti-virus and SPAM filters just as as
well as any standard black & white HTML message
composed in Outlook or Outlook Express
would.
One of my clients can't
see the e-business card, they are using Lotus Notes as an
email client does this matter? ANSWER: Lotus Notes, DOS, and
several smaller email programs may not be able to view
your e-business card. This has to do with how these
programs deal with Microsoft products. However,
over 99% of all people who use email work with programs
that will be able to view your ecard.
My new e-business card
looks "fuzzy" on my monitor, why is
that? ANSWER: Make sure you have your monitor settings set
above 256 colors. To check this, simply go to your
'Control Panel' and choose the 'Display' icon.
Choose the 'Settings' tab and make sure your 'Color
Quality' is above 256 colors.
Will it take longer to send or receive
messages?
ANSWER: No - because we
serve the graphics when the email is opened, rather than embed
the picture files, the size of an email message that includes
one of our business cards is only 1k larger than a plain text
email. An increase of 1k is negligible.
What if my address or telephone number
changes in the future? ANSWER: We can
easily modify your business card at any time for you. In most
cases we'll be able to just change your graphic, meaning that
you will not have to do anything to implement the change.
Charges may incure, but it's a case by case basis for now
depending on how many changes need to be
made.
Can you add a confidentiality statement
or Disclaimer beneath my bussiness
card? ANSWER: Yes,
we have added confidentiality statements and disclaimers
to the bottom of business cards for many attorneys and
financial advisors. We will use your exact wording, and
will display the statement using a small font size
beneath your business card's graphic. Visually this works
very well, and there is no extra charge for this
addition.
